December 22, 2012 – Silverthorne, Colorado: So I am glad to see that most of us have survived the alleged apocalypse. I wanted to take some time to note some events and appearances.
This month in New Delhi, India at the Nehru Planetarium there is India’s First Astrophotography Festival happening which I am honored and proud to share a part. Recently I was approached by Atish Aman, a representative of the festival to submit some photos into their show based on certain Astrophotography themes. Three of six of my photos were chosen to be at the festival and then I submitted large format versions of the files and the festival paid to have them made for their display. I love the backlit Orion over the Gore Range. So cool. Thank You Atish.
For those of us who can’t visit the festival this video has been provided: https://vimeo.com/55754623
This month I was also fortunate enough to have my “Arrival of Winter” photo appear in NASA’s Space.Com in their Best Photos of the Month #12 and in an article Explaining the Solstice.
I had an appearance in the Summit County Voice in an article about the recent Geminid Meteor Shower.
Check out 303 Magazine based out of Denver, Colorado for an article on my photography. I am doing a short interview with them on January 4 which also happens to be the next First Friday event at the
I will be there hosting my space as usual barring a blizzard between here and Denver. A little snow, no problem. If you haven’t been down to the space in a while, Ive added 2 new pieces recently: The Great Rift: Milky Way through Aspen Trees which looks incredible in all its large print glory printed on metallic paper and well lit; Ive also added Harvest Moon Rising 2012 printed on Antzl Project Canvas which was recently seen at EarthSky.Org.
Finally all of my 2013 calendars are SOLD OUT. Some copies can still be purchased locally at the Petal and Bean in Breckenridge, Colorado or the Next Page Bookstore in Frisco, Colorado. Thank You to everybody who voted for the images and to those who purchased the Best Calendar yet!
